Life as we know it

16 Feb

Today we got the news that the house we are renting might be sold within the next month or two.

We have been renting here quite nicely for nearly two years and were hoping that it could possibly extend for a coupe more. We did try get a contact by the owners said it would not become a problem and since then we have pretty much been on our own.

Now we have to start with having to look for another house in the area we now live in. We enrolled our grandson in the local school and we are loathe to have to move him so soon after starting school. If it was just my wife and myself it would not be a problem as we could happily move into a smaller place. Also need to ensure that our future place is happy for us to have our dogs and birds with us as well.

The plans we had for transforming the yard will now be put on hold as it would be sensless to spend money on something we will not be able to enjoy. I was busy sorting out the swimming pool pump myself but suddenly my drive to get it done seems to have diminished quite a bit.

Possibly feel better tomorrow after a good nights sleep!!

That’s really bad news. I hope you find something suitable very soon.

Ik zal nog even moeten nadenken om weereens gedichtjes in Nederlands of Afrikaans te schrijven.
    😉

      Thanks for the wishes.
Ik ben bang dat mijn Nederlandse is erg roestig. De laatste keer dat ik moest schrijven eigenlijk dat het was in school. Een van onze boeken was Nederlands.
(the above took some time and plenty of attempts but I think could be understood. I enjoy watching the two Dutch channels we have on DSTV but lose the plot at times as they talk just to quick and some of the dialects (?) have words I just cant translate.)

Oh shame, sorry to hear that Paul. I have a feeling you’re going to find the perfect place.
    *hugs*

That’s a blow! Moving is such a stressful business. As for ‘looking for accommodation’ – well, I recall that as a child I genuinely thought they were a dreadful set of swearwords, because of the stress and drama that always seemed to accompany their use.

I agree! Hate moving. But it’s a mind set I will have to get used to.

That must have been quit a shock, Paul. Hope you find something which suits you and your pets. Think positive. 😉

I have seen a few adverts for pet friendly houses so things are looking up.
My wife will sort me out to be positive!!

Oh dear it’s one thing to move because you want to and another completely when you have to. Hope you find the perfect house in the neighbourhood of your choice very soon.

Why did you not try to buy the place?
I hope I never have to rent again as long as I live!!!
Do hope you’ll find something close, soon Paul…

Circumstances preclude me from buying another house. Age being one of them!
